so how odd/funny is this?

The other day the guy from our mailroom walks into my office with his hands full. Flowers and a balloon in one arm, a box of chocolates in the other.

I'm baffled. Who could this be from? I just ended a serious relationship recently - and it did not end on a good note, so I didn't think it could be him.

I was searching for the card - it took at least a minute or 2. I look at the balloon and it is heart shaped and says "Thinking of You" - so now I am thinking....hmmmm I must have a secret admirer. How cute :)

Then I find the card - and it is from an account in Oklahoma City that I helped a few weeks ago by digging up old info for them for an audit!!!
I NEVER thought it could be work relalted. As nice as that was, what a bummer!!!!!!!!!! lol....

but seriously - a heart shaped balloon saying "Thinking of You" - everyone in the office got a laugh out of it....

    ah man, that is kind of a bummer! little odd that it ties back to a work related incident. but no one needs to know that!

    They were from me. I thought you would pick up on the return address of a one "T. McVeigh" from Oklahoma City. ;)

    that IS funny and odd...and i can definitely see how it would b a bit of a bummer. however, all that aside...it IS nice, but damn girl...you should've at least had ONE chocolate! yeesh!



    and i'm gonna guess that they didn't know/realize the balloon would be heart-shaped, b/c yes...bizarre! at least not a heart-shaped box, eh? :D

    ha ha. yeah what a disappointment!!!!!!!!!!! I am thinking they asked for a 'Thank You' balloon, and instead it got mistaken for Thinking of You.

    I am off sweets - gained some holiday weight - trying to get it off. fruit and veggies only!!!!!

    and good for you! i wish i were so disciplined. perhaps that's why it takes me so damn long...i always make *exceptions*....;) but i WILL get there. we'll have to have a meet in june, after my anniversary.....i plan on being my small smokin' self again....and june 20th is my ultimate goal for that, although earlier would be even nicer. :p

    eh..that is kind of a bummer..but hey it was nice of them to do that :)
