ok so I was soooooooooooo against these websites - facebook, myspace, etc. However, I did join up b/c Pearl Jam came on there. ANYWAY, I am so happy I did. In less than a week I reconnected w/2 high school friends who I have not spoken to in YEARS. It is great - one even works 2 blocks away, and we are going to get together soon. I guess I underestimated these sites :p

Is anyone else on here on facebook? If so PM me so we can add each other as friends :)

    and no, not on facebook, myspace, et al...and thus far, no desire to be. i do not want to be *found* by anyone...nor look for anyone either. if i happen upon someone from my past organically, cool....and if not...c'est la vie. if i still wanted you in my life, more than likely, you still would be. :)

    Yeah facebook is great, gettin in contact with peeps who I thought had dissapered for ever, good stuff!

    you know I shared that sentiment, but I tell ya - these 2 girls from my high school - so happy I found them and they found me! Also tons of people from work are on here, so it's all good.....for now at least!

    I used to be very against these sites. But I move around a lot, and some of my friends from other countries kept telling me to join. And they would only post their vacation photos on facebook! :mad: So I joined...and now I am addicted! :p It has been great reconnecting with people I have lost touch with, especially if everyone is so far away. Plus, a lot of my friends that are bad with email are on facebook so it works out and we can send messages that way. :D

    i know plenty of people who are on it, it's just not for me. never say never and all that...but at the moment, yes, i just see no reason that i would want to join. as social as i am, i am also fiercely private, and really...i just don't want to be *found* online.

    I hate myspace but like facebook. I've got a couple of friends from school there, a couple from here and a couple that, I could quite easily just ring. :D It's like a more comprehansive address book where I can keep in contact with internet friends as well as those that aren't the virtual kind. :D
