anyone else cooking for Easter tomorrow?
I am listening to PJ getting ready for the ticket sale chaos this week and cooking away....
Pasta w/broccoli rabe and sausage
Roasted pork w/a pineapple BBQ sauce
Cornbread sausage stuffing
mashed potatoes
veggies
and a deadly chocolate cake
what's everyone else cooking?

I'm cooking lamb, carrots and green beans.
my sister is bringing an appetizer and dessert
my sister in law is bringing potatoes
my mom is helping me cook the lamb since...well...cooking is not my specialty...unless it's spaghetti.
sooooooo much easier to have people bring things than to make it all yourself!

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all!
But I'm buying them. Not making them.
Then ...I think I'm coming to your house for some of that awesome food.
"What a stupid lamb."
"What a sick, masochistic lion."
marinade
4lb deboned rabbit backs and legs cut into small cubes
4tbl spoons olive oil
5cloves garlic minced
2tbl spoons rosemary
3tbl spoons parmesan cheese
salt and pepper
Place rabbit {cotton tail} cubes in combined marinade and let marinade over night
Place rabbit on skewers {small portions} roll skewers in flour then in egg then in seasoned bread crumbs.
Heat a cast iron frying pan with oil and brown skewers in oil place browned skewers in roasting pan standing vertical and roast at 400 degrees for 40 minutes enjoy serve with a nice Niagara merlot
We're grilling burgers! We decided that would be more fun than cooking inside. And I'm making my awesome baked mac n cheese, and a lemon bundt cake. We'll also have a few different salads.
candied sweet potatoes,
collard greens or cabbage
salmon
cream style corn
corn bread

LOL - now that's funny
I just finished making potato salad (w/ extra pickles!) and coloring easter eggs for a potluck/egg hunt at my brother's tomorrow. Every year I tell myself I'm going to buy the pototo salad because it takes so long, but it's sooo much better when you make it yourself!
Some of the menus above sound really good, makes me hungry for some baklava and/or chocolate cake!
Beef tenderloin
Horseradish sauce
Potatoes Anna
Roasted asparagus
Butternut squash puree
Cheesecake and carrotcake for dessert.
It as so yummy.
I love to cook.
And I don't feel right when you're gone away
I Love potato salad with lots of pickes (I even add a splash of the pickle juice sometimes!)
I had to work and made a brunch for 60 people. Now I am very tired!
Quiches
Lox & Bagels
Mini fruit tarts
Waldorf salad
Spinach salad w/ strawberries & toasted pecans w/ poppyseed vinaigrette
Deviled eggs (of course)
Berries
Tomato-Onion tarts
Sweet Rolls
Ham
Mimosas
me too. but after everyone had my pork w/pineapple sauce they nominated me to cook for every holiday! glad they all liked it but......
I am exhausted! who the hell wants to work tomorrow????
