ok i havent seen the show yet but isnt the idea exactly the same as usa's psych?? im surprised there isnt a lawsuit.

    yeah, that's what my wife and I thought. Whenever a show is a success you get all the copycats, (remember the year after House debuted, there were 9 shows about surly guys---the surly psychiatrist, the surly accountant, the surly lawyer, etc)...but I've never seen anything this blatant. And it's ripping off one of the worst shows I've ever seen (my wife's a fan, I can't stand it)

    Thread title had me confused :o

    I'm guessing mentalist means something different on your side of the pond ... here it is (not very pc) slang for someone with psycholigical problems or some one who can't control their anger ... both would be described as being a 'mentalist'

    I'm guessing we probably won't get this show.
    So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?
