i know there are x-files fans here so lets see what are your favorites?

i only know the first 5 seasons really well, most of my list is from that. after that ive only seen most of the episodes once.

in no order.

soft light
e b e
terms of endearment
home (still creeps me out to this day!)
bad blood (fun-ny)
folie a deux (maybe my all-time favorite)
pusher
jose chung's 'from outer space' (has to be on everyones list, right?)
musings of a cigarette smoking man
redux

its really hard to pick a episode from the mythology-arc cause they all one big episode. so i picked those that came to mind first. if i watched them all again i might pick different. the ones with mulder in russia are really good.

    That's "Home."

Used to LOVE this show. It was on too long and the mythology got too confusing.

I'm not really that great at titles...always loved "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose."

The two-parter that ended with Scully's abduction was great (especially the first part)

The one about the Satanic cult running the PTA in this one small town...

The first two-parter with the shape-shifting bounty hunter and the submarine in the arctic...

The first appearance of the black oil (also a two parter)

Also the one about the guy who never slept...and the guy who could be invisible by somehow always moving into a blind spot...really clever I thought...

Those are the ones that stand out.

Wished they'd ended this show around the 7th season when it was still good.

    I can't recall titles, but:

'Je Souhaite' the one with the genie that grants wishes. I loved this episode.

The Unnatural. The one with the alien baseball players.

The one with the inbred people was great!

    The tobacco beetle episode.

The one where the guy moved between two dimensions.....and killed his mother.

THe one where the guy could go into small spaces and kill people....he was some sort of human caterpillar or something.

    Too many more to list!

my favourite is D.P.O., that's the one with Giovanni Ribisi and Jack Black in it. Ribisi gets struck by lightning and it gives him some kind of electrical powers. "Hey Man, Nice Shot" is the soundtrack of the episode. It's been a long time though, I don't really remember too much about it, just that I loved it.

i watched that one last night. giovanni is excellent in that episode. probably one of the better guest performances. and it had live fast diarrhea by the vandals at the end too.

I really liked "The Host". It was the one about the giant sewer creature. Scared the hell out of me for months.

I had to check the X-Files Episode Guide on Wiki to refresh my memory. Whew.

    In no particular order.

Bad Blood - I fucking love seeing the different perspectives.

Arcadia - I hate HOA's, so this episode is classic for me. :p

Humbug - circus sideshow acts are good in any show - really like the Torchwood episode focused around them as well.

Soft Light - Tony Shaloub is excellent in this episode. Who isn't afraid of their own shadow at some point in life? :o

Quagmire - Sea Serpent episode. The way the darkness hid the shore was hilarious.

Never Again - I LOVE tattoos and shows related to them.

Small Potatoes - Who passes up good tail?

Triangle - Bermuda Triangle takes Mulder back in time on an old ship - love that old style.

Dreamland - Personality swaps make for great Mulder - Scully tension. :p

and the Genie Episode , Je Souhaite - I have never viewed wishes the same. Seriously, be Very careful what you wish for. HaHa.

Trivia - Anyone know how we got the name 'Spooky' for our now 10 year old kitty?

is that the same episode that took place on a farm, and there was someone underneath one of the beds and he/she was all deformed and shit?

Is that the Victor Tooms one? Well, he was actually in 2 episodes but I prefer the 1st one ("Squeeze")

I don't remember the episodes and I read that list on Wikipedia! I remember some of them but I can't remember which ones stood out in my mind as the ones I loved. That was a long time ago.

what comes to mind are the ones involving baby William.

the last season I remember was absolutely horrible, and the last episode was the worst.

That is one of the first ones that came to mind. Pusher was another great one.

Found it - my favorite episode is entitled Die Hand Die Verletzt. It's the one about the high school run by a group of satanists with the totally creepy giant snake at towards the end.
