is it normal to not care about a class at all. i mean i have this one class that as of right now i honestly dont care if i fail it. and i cant drop it cause i have to stay a full time student and i have to show up for attendance for aid crap.

It is normal, but I suggest you suck it up and do the best you can regardless, especially seeing as your stuck with it.
If I could go back I'd have taken my own advice.
  • I think it's normal to have one class you don't like. Hell even in grad school I had a few required classes I couldn't care less about. you should still give it your best shot though. a year from now you could look back on it and realize you got more out of the class than you thought.
  • This is coming from someone who fucked up in college really bad.

Not caring about one or a couple classes is normal. Do your best even though you don't care. It will reflect negatively on your GPA if you don't, and you might miss something vital.

Now if down the way you end up not giving a shit about most or all of your classes, then you need to re-evaluate why you're in college to begin with.

    its normal

But its better to drop than have a grade lower than a c on your transcript.

as the others have said.. definately normal...

what class is it? make sure its not one you need a min. grade in so you dont have to take it over.

Does your school offer a Pass/Fail option? That may be your best bet.
I'm gone ..Long gone..This time I'm letting go of it all...So long...Cause this time I'm gone
  • Look at it this way: Someone else who really wants to be in class isn't right now because they couldn't get aid money that went to you instead. It's not like there's an unlimited amount of it to go around.

    Suck it up.

stick with it. i enjoyed the college life, but sure as hell did not enjoy my courses. my goal was to get in and out in 4 years. so many of my friends took a year or two off, went back and they are still trying to finish up.

suck it up, there are a ton of classes you have to take before you get to do the job you're working for. I have about 2 more years and am not fun of the 2 3 hour grad classes I have a week, but itll be worth it when I have the job I want.
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

the money im getting no one else would have recieved anyways.

this isnt the i want to quit school thread but i just have no motivation for this class. ive had classes i didnt like and classes i even thought id fail even if i did the work. but this is different somehow. the class isnt the hardest one ive taken or anything its just weird. most of my classes im not even interested in, like math but i dont mind going at all. i really like to learn usually even things i hate but i could leave that class at the end of the semester and if i hadnt learned anything i wouldnt care.

oh well only a few more weeks of this i guess.

Take it a day at a time, and lie to yourself constantly that you're interested in what's going on. Try to find the best in the class
