Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

    It's legit.

Microsoft is on ebay like flies on shit. Anything that isn't remotely ok in their book is gone in a flash.

i was thinking that MS would be all over it but i gave thought because of the price. i.e., why buy retail or from MS if i can get it on ebay for 1/3 of the MSRP?

anyone else like to chip in?

It's legit but for example, this one was the Academic version.

Don't know what you have to prove or not to register it.

Yep, that's it. Given your reply and the fact that I emailed the seller asking about the AE version and the seller has not replied.. (HA!).

    Thanks all for the info.

Windows Office Professional? For less than $200.00? Was it the AE version?

    Those academic versions are shady.

Basically they give schools one registration key that gets passed around and is legit and usable on an infinity amount of machines.

Someone I know (I won't mention names) got a full academic version of Windows XP on a torrent site with a legit key code that will allow full updates through Microsoft.

a friend of mine used to have a part-time "job" at microsoft testing video games that were still in development. as their "payment", they got free software. most people just grabbed video games that they wanted for their own use. others were smarter and chose the higher valued software (like Office). they then would sell it on Ebay. this was how they actually got paid for their "job".

I've downloaded Office from bit torrent before and have used it on several computers.

I've never tried it, but I've heard good things about Open Office (it's free)

Don't bother trying to get Windows from an unauthorized source though... that's a royal pain to try to get registered and work correctly.

i got my windows 2000 thru the academic licensing, i didn't have to prove anything, i got it off some website and paid a fraction of what it costs retail
