    amazing they waited that long. that was nearly 40 years after he left and one before he died.

    Wilt had been invited to return many times. He lived the Hollywood life. He returned on his own terms. IMO, KU was honored by his presence.

    ok, didn't realize that, although it should have dawned on me considering how documented some aspects of his non-basketball life were.

    I didn't watch the whole video. Did they honor him by lining the court with the thousands of women he's supposedly had relations with over the years?

    I still think for all of Wilt's accomplishments, one of the most underreported is how he won the Big 12 (Big 8 at the time) high jump championship 3 years in a row. For a 7 foot 1 man to be able to jump as high as he could was just freakish.

    That and the fact he ran a 10.9 hundred yard dash which is incredible when you factor in his size.

    He was teammates on KU's track and field team with 4 time gold medalist in the discus, Al Oerter, and Kansas never lost a meet with them on it.
