I do get a tiny bit brassed off with people here telling others what they're thinking...not that you have, just one or two of the previous posts.

and pearl jam "fought the man" and weren't comfortable with celebrity and all that...that's great for them...but if Dave and the foos don't have a problem with it, I say rock on. Also you have to keep in mind, Dave Grohl is in his 40s now, you fight different battles the older you get. Even Ed is much different in the spotlight now than he used to be. if I had a job I loved that made me a lot of money, I'd certainly enjoy it. I think it's just as bad for a band to put on a front pretending they aren't having fun and they don't want what they have. that's just lame.

Yeah. Dave (and the rest of the Foos) have families to support, now. He lives in Encino... not Beverly Hills and drives himself to the L.A. gigs (takes the car service his wife and friends take to the shows home... usually because he's drunk after the shows).
He's a pretty down to Earth guy... for the level of celebrity he possesses.
