New job.. temporarily moving in with the p's for ONE month.. right now half my shit is at their place, half here in the city with me.. I feel like I'm going backwards.. might be rooming in a month with someone I barely know..

Need to buy this, need to buy that. Need to cancel this, need to cancel that..

And gonna have to go through all this shit a month from now when I find a new place..

But change is good, right?

I've already moved three times this year.

And sometime within the next couple of months I'll be moving back home. And then whenever I find another apartment after that, I'll be moving again.

So that'll be five times! Grrrr....

I've actaully kind of gotten used to it a bit and it's not as much of a hassle because I just quit caring about my stuff and just throw it in, throw it out and I'm done. :p

I just found that having everything go to my parents or sisters house as my mailing/home address etc was easier rather than constantly changing it. If you're pretty sure you're going to move again, think about that, if it's within distance for you to make a couple visits a week, of course.

Good luck to you and your new future, hopefully this change is wonderful for you.

    :)
  • awwww... i'm mid-move too, i just keep thinking in hindsight, how great it will be to have change

('cos we all know change is wonderful :))

  • I'm in the midst of moving...should take me a while though. Moving the contents of my married home to a small condo for one. And unfortunately my soon to be ex (if he ever gets that going too, but that's another story) decided he wants no part in going thru all of our things so I'm left with 10yrs worth of memories and shit to go thru and divide up. There are times when I just break down from the emotion of all of it considering the divorce was brought up by him (which is a good idea now, I see that).
The point I was trying to make isn't so much that moving sucks it's the packing and deciding which memories are good enough to go with u. Or actually having to revisit some of those things u've stashed away as to avoid them (basically my life!).

There was actually a massive universal study done about 5 years ago (think it was Harvard bu Ill check) about the most stressful things in peoples lives......moving/home relocation was second behind divorce
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

Yes change is good, but the key is being organized.

When I move I try to keep both places for a week. That way I can move little by little and not kill myself.

    Good luck with everything.
