Crazy huh? I heard somewhere they killed it on my street, but further north. My husband rides to work on his bike through roscoe village.. glad he didn't run into it.. that would have been badass.

It's too bad they had to shoot it, and didn't have a stun gun around or something. At least it didn't hurt anyone...

It should have come to my house, I'm the cat whisperer.. I would have made friends with the cougar ;)

Apparently he followed the train tracks down from Wisconsin looking for a mate.. I didn't know Wisconsin had mountain lions.

Poor guy, I guess there wasn't much else they could do. I think it would be badass to live amongst cougers.

This kind of puts to rest that thread a while back where the guy claimed the girl from Wisconsin was lieing when she posted pictures of a couger in her backyard..

That's wild. Reminds me of this friend I had back when I was a kid. He had this bitchin treehouse/fort in his backyard. I was always bummed we could't camp out in it at night and he told me that the mountain lions and coyotes would come down in the middle of the night. This was in Glendora, folks!!! Google map it. It doesn't seem like a place where those kind of critters would come to but sure enough they lost numerous pets to them.

Shame they had to kill it.

...the easy answer is that it walked. :D It will be interesting to see whether it is wild or an escaped captive.

Yeah... a 150 lb cougar can pretty much go wherever he wants... I'm sure not trying to stop him.

No, you probably wouldn't like my opinion on it at all. Most people don't. I spend as much time in the mountains as I can looking for bears, lions, and wolves. Wild 4 legged predators don't frighten me. The only animal that concerns me walks on two legs. I've said it before and I'll say it again. If an animal ever mauls or kills me, I want someone to give that animal a medal of honor. I will haunt the person who kills the animal who kills me...

You mean you were in a protective cage where they can't hurt you. I've dove with sharks as well, so here I am getting back to you already. How is it a hick like me came out of hicksville with a better education than you? Is that how they teach you city folks to spell? I've never even pointed a gun at a dangerous animal. As I said, they don't scare me...

Ok, I'll overlook your first sentence as some things are just too easy to be considered fair competition.

I am curious as to what hicksville lingo I was using? Mind you, I managed an English degree with a writing emphasis during my home schooling in the woods, but I'm always eager to learn more cosmopolitan communication skills...

I assume I've come to the correct resource.

Nice strategy. Change the topic. Then again, if I was in over my head as bad as you, I would try to steer the conversation in another direction as well.
