Disclaimer: Not all white women, just a majority single good looking ones over 25..
Just an observation from the last 4 months of online dating..
If you don't have a lot of money and power, a million hobbies, and the ambition to rule the world.. you are not good enough for them..
I'm finding myself a nice latino girl.
: p
LAO I like that you prefaced the thread title with "a generalization" and that you added the disclaimer , and power to you for having the tenacity and courage to spend 4 months trawling online dating sites, but I figure it's the cup that you're drinking from that's causing the wine to taste funny!
I mean think about it. The whole online dating thing seems so contrived to me of course there's going to be a bunch of people with a whole list of wants and needs, likes and dislikes, it's the nature of the beast. I figure you'd be much better off doing things you enjoy doing and while you're enjoying your life you're bound to meet like minded people, yeah even white women over 25, you might even find one you like! OR you could go hunting for that lovely latino lady. Anyway, regardless of how you proceed, humor is always good and you got that going on, so good luck with it all, ladies like the humor.
Power is not relevant to me. I want a man with a job. And preferably a Yankees fan but that's negotiable.
Red Sox fans are out of the question!
Hobbies are also not relevant. I would like a sports fan though. Men who don't like sports make me
For the record, I am a Red Sox and Patriots fan ... I dated a Jets and Yankees fan (didn't think those folks existed) .... and we had no issues with that ...
...
...
...
The fact she was a complete psycho, well, that's a totally different story all together.

During the Riot Act tour I got to the stadium early and saw this young white woman standing in front of the stadium listening to sound check.
I walked up to her asking her where the line was. It was an honest question. I did not know.
But, she was tall, slender, fairly good looking. She had a grunge look to her, but that's to be expected of PJ fans. And she was a die-hard PJ fan, which was like icing on the cake, IMO.
She just had the yellowest stained teeth I've ever seen. She must smoke 3 packs/day and drink just as many cups of coffee. I figured that's probably why she was standing alone. If she had whiter teeth, there would most likely have been a man standing there with her.
I've dated and slept with latinas, whites, and an Italian and the latinas were the meanest of them all. They insulted my penis size, my personality..etc. whenever they felt like it. I'm not insecure about my penis size, but no white woman I've ever slept with ever felt the need to insult my penis, and I just feel like I can like a woman a lot more when she does not do that.
It has a lot to do with the latino culture. It is heavily sexist/macho driven. This is statistically so. In fact, when marketing firms are targeting the hispanic consumer group, they lace the advertising with sexist overtones as well as strong family-driven overtones.
I went to a convention for the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities one year and listened to a speaker who was the most successful hispanic marketing developer/researcher in US history.
He was the first person to actually map the hispanic psyche through exhaustive research, and use that information to sell to other marketing firms. According to him, the hispanic culture is mainly sexist and at the same time family oriented. That is, sons and daughters are expected to support their parents and brothers and sisters before pursuing their own dreams. He talked about hispanic adolescents who gave up Ivy League scholarships because their parents needed them to help pick produce.
Anyway, being that he himself was hispanic, his speech was centered on his concern for the future of hispanics because they are being held back by these archaic, regressive, destructive mentalities.
So, it's not that latina women are evil per se. It's that their culture permits men to treat them so badly that when they finally come into relationships with men who are cordial and respectful, they don't know how to react in kind. To hispanic women, chivalry is a sign of weakness.
Where I work, there is an incredibly beautiful young hispanic woman who we just hired right out of college. I mean she is smoking hot.
We were at a picnic a few months ago at the beach and she and a male hispanic co-worker went out in the water for a bit.
When they returned, the male hispanic co-worker dragged her by her hair into the public showers so he could spray her down. She was screaming, "Stop! Stop", but he actually held her under the shower by her hair as he turned the water on. After it was over it was back to normal between the two of them.
The rest of us were like WTF that just figures. It's their culture. There might be exceptions..of course there are exceptions, but even some prominent, educated hispanics know there is a serious problem that exists moreso within their own culture than in others.
It has a lot to do with why Mexico has recently began passing laws addressing this issue. But you'll never catch me saying that the hispanic culture is inferior or anything like that because that is not what I believe. I just would rather not date a woman who thinks it's funny to insult my penis size or call me a selfish jerk for the hell of it.
seriously?
firstly, only 'white women' eh? sheesh. secondly, exaggerate much? *power*.....wtf? hahahaha. hysterical! and a *lot* of money? doubtful. sure, most women over the age of 25 actually want a man who is at least her equal. so then, if she makes a decent living....yea...she wants a man who can pull his own weight too. crazy huh? million hobbies? again, wtf? i have never given a shite about hobbies.....actually don't like when one has TOO many, b/c then they interfere with time for me. it IS good however to have a few interests, b/c then you thus are interestING to talk to, shows you have some passions, etc. and ambition to rule the world?
*falls over in hysterical laughter*
and, if you want a nice latina girl....best to know she's 'latina' first of all. besides which.....white, latina, etc......hmmmm.....i think most women want to be judged for who they are, not their race.
bottomline, just like men...most women simply want a guy who is reasonably attractive, reasonably employed, some degre of goals for the future, passion for whatever they do, whether it is their career or A hobby, just some 'interests'....and the usual: intelligence, humor, wit and a caring heart. you go on a dating site of OURSE you will be faced with a 'checklist' of sorts, b/c that's what the site is about; quantifying what you are looking for. even there, i am sure there is flexibility. way to take a woman with some 'standards' and make it seem like she wants the world on a platter, provided to her by a man. yikes.
I'm white and I wasn't that way when I was single, except for once when I was 29. I was on this kick where I wanted a millionaire. An older woman at work was divorced from a rich man and she told me that in order to marry into money, you've got to have money. In other words, she felt I was too low class to marry a millionaire. She did not have money either when she married him. She changed my mind fast.
Old Money versus New Money
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.
seriously?

I agree. People want to be people who are similar to themselves. If a woman values money as a priority in her own life, she will value money in her partners. If she is more passionate about doing something she loves, she will look for that. As for hobbies, come on. People want to be with someone who interesting to them, bottom line. I don't think that should come as a shock. a girl with a lot of hobbies probably will want a guy who is equally interested in things, and if not, it's probably not is important.
and ok, the whole race generalization that was made is like certifiably insane. I mean I can't even begin to respond to it, there are so many things that are off.
d2d it's funny this thread made you laugh, it made me want to cry that someone could be so clueless.
I would love to find out where it is guys get these ideas into their heads.

it's a choice: you can laugh, or you can cry. i prefer to laugh...it's far more fun. besides, i am old and married ...so my *perspective* on it all is a bit different i think than the OP. i guess i have the 'advantage' of time/distance from all of this, and yes....may be out of the game...but i DO realize what most people are about, etc.
I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that, but if you are looking for reasons why "white" women might not want to deal with some of his issues, we should look at all the issues and not just assume it's because he doesn't have enough hobbies, volunteer his time, or enough money. It's probably not an issue at all, I was just trying to be funny considering I'm a single over 30 white female~
By the way, patrickredeyes, you have no room to talk~I know you volunteer and help charities! But yes I agree we both have a sickness and I don't think posting is the only thing!
Yea we all have sicknesses for many things. Good and bad, but even the bad are good in some ways. lol
I don't know why single women over the age of 25 are so picky. The percentage of them getting married after that age is like 0.
this thread is FULL of laughs!
i would guess that MOSt women get married between 25-30, pretty close to average age i think? is 26 overall, and i am sure in big cities a bit older. so yes, i think your 'percentage' is merely meant to be humorous/inflammatory? anyhoo....wanting a decent guy, with decent looks, decent job, with some interesting interests....oh myyy, WAY too high standards eh? hahahahaha.
hell, i got married at 23.....but you BET i was picky then, and i would be picky NOW too. i'd rather be alone than with someone who did not mesh with me. it is a lifetime commitment most are looking for, i think standards of some sort are kinda a good idea, personally. to each his/her own, it's an individual choice.
as i said, MOST women TODAY get married between the ages of 25-30. statistically, that is the *norm*...when i got married almost 16 years ago, i think? the average age was 24 for a female, 26 for a male....and that was for the ENTIRE country....and still only shows "average" age, meaning some younger, some older. large cities almost always skew a bit older. beyond which, you said a percentage of zero ...you and the OP must hang out, both exaggerate, significantly......:D anyhoo.....believe what you will, doesn't prove shite, and really has zero affect on anyone, so enjoy your skewed perspective.

Yes, I don't like these kinds of threads. :( Not all of us fit into one category btw...so I agree generalizations are very stupid.
