yes, that sounds ancient
but regardless of that, I can type pretty quick without looking at the board

It is really bad.
It takes a so long for me to type just a little message like this.
And I had to take typing in high school.
AND my dad worked for IBM and we always had computers and typewriters in the house.

[Yeah i'm bragging a bit. I took a keyboarding class in 7th grade {flying fingers award! } and after that just practicing made it faster and easier] hehe.
That's impressive!
My husband has his own method. He uses all of his fingers, but he doesn't use the "home row" like I do. He's pretty fast, though.
When I'm focused, I can easily type between 75 and 80 words per minute.
That's what i remember from 9th grade typing
2003-6/1, 10/25
2005-8/29, 9/4
2006-7/2, 7/22, 7/23
2008-4/15(EV solo)
2009-9/21, 9/22, 9/28
2011-9/3, 9/4
2012-9/30
2013-7/19, 11/30
I SUCKED in typing class.
I'll never forget that class, because they sort of covered "job interview" type stuff in it. My female teacher told the girls that we should never ever, under any circumstances, wear pants to an interview because it appears to be threatening to a male interviewer. This was fucking 1995!
If it wasn't for the "backspace" key, I'd be in serious trouble!
A co-worker of mine uses a DVORAK keyboard instead of a QWERTY one. I guess it's more efficient for typing and he's insanely fast on it. You can change you user settings on Windows to use that layout (although you'd have to memorize the layout)

i tried that before. cause the layout is supposed to be really easy. but i couldnt get the hang of it and didnt feel like learning the keyboard again. its also supposed to be what people with one hand and stuff use too. the idea of all vowels together makes perfect sense and keeping the most used letters all together in the same area. qwerty is just a retarded design, seriously.
