    i think the bow/arrow pointed at the airplane pretty much sums up what they are thinking...

    And don't forget we need to give them western medicine that works on all the diseases they probably have. They need our medical treatment and opinions to make sure they live a fuller, stronger, and healthier life!

    Well, it says something. Do they know that the plane is a device for transporting people, and the bows pointed upward is meant as a warning to outsiders to stay away? Or, do they perceive the plane as a strange threatening animal? I think the latter choice is more fascinating. Can you imagine the tales the hunters are telling around the campfire? It would be so interesting to experience their worldview, since it would not include our modern perspective.

    In spite of how interesting it would be to talk to them, I say leave them the hell alone, and don't do anymore fly overs.

    I dont think they think that the plane is an animal. They have possibly been there 1000's of years. They are probably well aware of all the local animals. The plane probably did scare the shit out of them.
