Despite my do whatever makes you happy post, please note that only European guys can get away with cropped pants. Maybe South American guys too. But guys from the states just can't pull this off.

I wear short shorts to the point that I'd get fined for public indecency if the authorities see me.
I wear shorts all the time because they are comfortable, i dont care if someone else thinks they are 'goofy' really. Especially if its warm, im not walking around in a big pair of jeans. I couldnt sleep last night so at 2am walked round to my friend's who was having a party and i was wearing shorts. Obviously in the winter i wouldnt do this but in june i always wear them.
People say im paranoid. Well, they dont say it, but i know that's what they are thinking.
Unless you're under the age of 20, they're your pajamas, you're hitting the gym or going to the beach, does anyone else think that guys wearing shorts is kind of goofy looking?

I wouldn't wear shorts to a club, but a sports bar or pub is definitely OK. Unless you're one of those dudes that wears shorts all winter long and don't own a pair of pants.
When it's hot you have to wear shorts. The only people who don't around here are bikers and burnouts. when its 90 and i see someone in jeans i just think psycho.
Personally not a fan of wearing shorts other than to the gym, but see nothing wrong with it. As to wearing them to a bar I could see that at a sports bar or pub, but to any other kind of bar seems a bit off.

Ha! I have tried wearing pants in the 100+ degree weather, and believe me, it is pure torture. The biggest problem I see with shorts is them being too short. Short shorts on men = hideously horrifying.

I only wear capris. Not shorts. I can't stand the feeling of my skin touching stuff like grass or a car seat. I don't care what other people wear though.

My husband wears shorts, I don't blame him. Its hot as hell in Chicago and we don't have A/C. I think if we went out to a club, he'd not wear shorts, but during the day, totally cool for guys to wear shorts.

I think it really depends on what part of the country you live in.. And not the temp, because its hot everywhere in the summer. For example, In GA, We where shorts or pants.

Shorts are fine for wearing out casually, but I agree that they should not be worn to a bar or club. Maybe if it's a patio bar, but definitely not indoors.

quite a few places in NYC will not allow guys in w/ shorts. and i am not talking posh places either.

Cargo pockets are the best. I've found an 1/8th of weed before, and also found money several times. It's like a mini savings account
