Why does everyone feel the need to convert l to g? afterall how many countries still use the imperial system, 1.20 a l. here, and am just going to accept it knowing it will not get much cheaper. Have the Europeans not been paying high gas prices for years?

$4.19 today I sure hope it goes down sometime. It's getting to be really tight to go out and I love going out for drives. I would have liked if it was 4.20, at least I could get a laugh from that.
Apparently average here is now £1.14 a litre a US gallon is 3.785 litres so guess that's £4.31 ($8.54) a US gallon or £5.18 ($10.26) our measure of a gallon
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

It's $3.89 here in NC. Pretty sad when our gas is as high as places where the cost of living is double or more than what it is here...freaking state gas tax...
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

Ive worked it out to be the equivalent of $7.45/gallon over here in good old blighty! What you all moaning about with your $4 gas????
I told my sister the other day how much they are paying in Europe for gas. Her reply was, ''I don't live in Europe so I don't care how much they are paying''.
It is very difficult to type this or walk. Because this morning I had to leave my arm and leg at the station. Seriously, I have to get 93 octane and it is now over $4.00 suburbs south of Boston.

we're moaning because it used to be a lot cheaper. when chimpy took office in '01 it was around 1.25/gal.
yes, i understand that we in the us had it good for a long time. but that does not change the fact that we built our lives around cheap gas, and now that it's gone through the roof it is having a real impact on folks, especially those who make the least. it's pretty hard for someone who makes minimum wage to keep up with a tripling of gas prices.
I think you could save alot if you'd have cars with smaller engines, I mean the cars in US are not very economic from what I've heard.. In Europe we have alot smaller engines in our cars which spend alot less gas per km/mile.
...the dreams ain't broken down here now,

Here, $6 per gallon in US speak. Which is fine, cos I don't have to pay out of my own pocket for the car I use in my car-share program
