    Winnie completed her AKC Championship on Friday! :joy:To earn her points (and, more importantly, her hedgehog), she traveled to shows in NE, MO, NV, UT, AZ, ND and MT.  her days on the show circuit are over. she gets spayed a week from tuesday and will just be a regular ol’ dog, fighting Piper for the hedgehog. she’ll miss the glamorous life. :lol:

    we’ve gone thru plenty of hedgehogs, ourselves. I doubt this one will survive.

    wednesday night, we left winnie in her cone of shame. when we came home, 3 hours later, she had gotten out of it and started on destroying it....thursday, she was fine until she barfed around midnight.....after that, the barfing and diarrhea got more frequent.....yesterday, the squirts turned red and, later, so did the vomit. we had called the vet prior to the blood and she said the symptoms were probably due to winnie’s spay and not due to anything she had ingested. we all went to bed last night, hoping for the best.

    unfortunately, winnie was barfing blood a little after midnight last night. codie took her to the ER vet and didn’t get home until nearly 6:30 a.m. :bawling: anyway, x-rays were clear and the vet said winnie is just really inflamed inside and the barfing and squirting are a vicious cycle. winnie got some meds and has been resting, semi-comfortably, today.

    here’s the cone. the baggie on the left is parts of the collar she barfed up. the other baggie is just shreds we collected.
