what happened with that litter you looked at on June 6?Who Princess said:
They only get cuter as they grow. They don't look like shelties when they're tiny but they're nice and fluffy by the time you take them home at 8 weeks.PJSiren said:There is a place on my way to work with a sign that says "Sheltie Puppies"....I was wondering what they looked like....soooooo cute!!!! Cuddly!!!!
Not much luck so far at finding my next sheltie.Looks like it will be late summer before I can bring one home. It will work out; just wishing it would be sooner.
If I had known then what I know now...

It's sort of hard to explain but I just didn't get the right vibe from the people selling the puppies. They were friendly people and the puppies seemed healthy, but I felt like they were in a hurry for me to pick a puppy and leave. I can't make a decision like that quickly. It just felt odd.imalive said:

I spoke to someone yesterday who was recommended by another sheltie person. She has 2 dogs expecting litters the same day, June 20. Plus the breeder who has Django's niece should be having puppies a few weeks after that. I was really hoping to have a puppy by summer but I guess I will wait.
Maybe I can puppy-proof the house in the meantime!Post edited by Who Princess on"The stars are all connected to the brain."0 -
In the meantime, it is exhausting when you're the only guarding the house:"The stars are all connected to the brain."0

Took the Dogs to the Dog Park yesterday, you should have seen how big of a sissy Pearl was with the other dogs....she would run from them with the tail between her legs and then hunker down in the grass and whine til I or my hubby reached her to "rescue" her from the "big bad dogs" lol she was so sad and pathetic....lol I wish I had gotten it on Video....Music is my Religion and Pearl Jam, my Savior!

Apologies if I've said this before, but Orbit looks like he should be wearing a Sherlock Holmes hat and donning a heavy English accent.

Try letting Autzen go in, and Have Pearl sit on the sidelines for a few minutes, and let her watch the interactions. Then you go in first, then her, and try keeping her on lead and walking the inside peremiter, on lead. Then take her to where you are sitting, or hanging out, and remove the lead. She will eventually start to pick up social skills. This is why we start socialization so early. :-) ( not that you're not, just agreeing that this is the perfect time to initiate it). Let us know how she does in future visits, and if you need help, you may always text! :-)PJSiren said:
