He can’t get enough of walking by the LI Sound… I live only few minutes away, he lets me know when I pull up after work… he’s in the window … runs to his leash as soon as I walk in. Relentless … won’t stop barking until we go, lately around nighttime.
Lando and Layla. They are wonderful dogs and Layla (the smaller one in the back) is easily the smartest dog I’ve ever had. She was diagnosed with a brain glioma two months ago. She finished her radiation and that’s all we can do. Now we just hope to get a year or two more from here. She’s only six and we are not ready for to leave us.
Hoping for the best for Layla. We had a Boxer when I was a kid. He only made it to 8. Great dogs.
Thanks everyone.
And that is the problem with Boxers. They are known to have issues and life can be shorter than you want it to be. It's part of the deal when you get them. But those years are packed with energy and love. They are full-tilt dogs.
she is beautiful. I mean…this is supermodel-level beauty.
Aww such a cutie. My sister had a boxer named Zion who passed a few years ago. He had the best personality.. would talk back when told to do something (complaining vocally) but super loving and good natured.

I’m really sorry to hear about Layla. I hope things turn out as well as possible. Worrying and caring for a sick dog is awful.
I was gonna pit you in touch with a PJ guy who has had way too much experience with sick Boxers….turns out you guys already know each other quite well. I’m sure Steve will be a comfort and resource!

Ahhhhhh.. He messaged me yesterday and said we had a mutual friend but he didn't get around to tell me who it was. Yeah we've talked a lot about our boxers over the years. I'm really glad he got a new rescue. He's a handsome boy.
His extolling of boxers over the years I've known him is why I got Layla to start. I always had labs but he convinced me boxers were the way to go. He was right, for my family.

We connected through PJ (obviously) but I don’t remember the circumstances. We spent hours drinking beer at Hattie’s Hat in Seattle, years ago. Maybe we connected when our sweet Golden was battling three cancers.

Sending healing thoughts and vibes Layla’s way. ♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️
I desperately want a dog. Never had one. Maybe when I move next year, after my lease is up.
My brother works in local NY government. His office is sheltering this sweet girl, who was abandoned.
I asked my landlord if I could keep her. Answer will probably be no. Her name would be Cappuccino.
Hope it works out, she’s very cute. I do a lot of volunteering at a local no kill shelter walking/socializing/photographing dogs and have to say the absolute sweetest ones are the pitties. Like my favorite girl Cinnamon below, who just got a home last week. I probably would’ve adopted her myself if I wasn’t on the mend from a surgery
