WTF is wrong with people?

It baffles me how people can hit PARKED cars. They're not moving! If you are approaching a parked car, put your foot on the brake pedal and you won't run into it.

And, if you are a horrible driver and run into a parked car, leave a freakin note, you asshole. Why is there now a ding/scrape/dent on my brand new car!?

Seems simple to me, there seems to be a lack of respect in society and its only getting worse. Sorry to hear about your car, been there.

I almost hit a parked car earlier this week. In my defense I wasn't paying attention to what was infront of me.

Someone hit me in a parking lot & did $1,000 worth of damage -- got both the front & rear doors. And didn't leave a note. My deductible was $250. The body shop said that if they had left a note, it wouldn't have cost them anything. I don't care that it happened -- people do make mistakes -- but it's so annoying not to take responsibility for a mistake. So I got to pay for someone else's mistake.

Ha! You are very wrong. Coming from a place where manuals are driven pretty much exclusively, it does NOT stop people talking on their phones while driving.

Iv hit a parked car before at work and they had cameras all over the place. I had a red honda and I hit a big white truck. I was so stoned, so I took off and parked around the corner. The next day the truck was parked next to a car that was the same color as mine and security was out there and everything. I got away with it. A few years before that a guy in a truck backed in my honda and the tail pipe went through my radiator. I was in my drive way...

It's a used car, but brand new to me and was 'dentless'. I don't buy cars as "investments"....I couldn't care less about the car, its just the fact that people are dumb enough to hit a parked car and then on top of that can't take responsibility for their own actions.

I would take it from this that the Irish are more skilled at driving while on the phone with a manual. It is probably true because most U.S. drivers are retards. I know I can't drive and talk on the fucking phone, so I don't. This makes me superior to all the other drivers around me and that is all that matters. (Until one of the fuckers drives into me.)
