  • I wouldn't mind if they charged a reasonable amount. 50 cents to a buck for a 16 ounce bottle. As long as they don't charge Woodstock prices, I'm okay with it
  • PJ charged 6.00 for parking on every Hartford ticket. I've never even driven a car EVER!

Paying for bottle water is one thing...

Paying for water on a plane unless it's an emergency is just plane bad customer service.

I don't understand why these airlines don't just put an extra $5-10 on to the inital price to cover all these nickle and dime charges.

You can buy it in the terminal (past security) so yeah.

But even there it'll cost you almost $3.50

I think the future of air travel is small jet "taxis" and regional airports.

Their idea of nickel and dime charges are more like $30-$40.

That's stupid. They're gonna charge people for water, but if people are really thirsty and don't have any change they'll get it free anyway? So what's to stop everyone claiming they don't have any change?

i always bring my own on the plane....i just pack an empty water bottle in my carry on and then fill it up past security. if the water in the fountain tastes bad, i go to a food court that has the self serve soda and fill it with water there (i usually ask if it is ok first-they always say yes). luckily, seattle water from the fountain tastes good.

when you are on a plane, sometimes it takes an hour after boarding before they bring the cart around, but if you have your own water at your seat, you dont have to wait.

i dont think they should increase prices for everyone. those of us that dont use their amenities shouldnt have to pay for them. the a la cart method is the most fair. i dont mind paying for meals, because i am usually asleep(and therefore am not missing anything) or i bring my own food with me.

Don't see what the problem is, really. Like someone else said, just bring an empty bottle and fill up after the security check.

The airlines here have been doing this for a long time now. Don't see too much difference between going to the buffet car on a train to buy a bottle compared to getting one from the trolley on a plane.
