  • Well, its kinda like this:

With my program at school, I can only manage to have a baby if it were to happen next summer, which would put us at August from now. Other then that, I can't miss out on school, because I would have to leave my cohort program. So, if not now, then we are going to start trying in September 2010.. which is like a good forever from now. I wish I could try next fall, but then my insurance will end the summer after that.

why is life so complicated. 2010 is so long away.

you're overthinking it. you are young, don't worry about timetables.
seeing this thread i was thinking...didn't she just start grad school? why in the world would she want a baby now? :p if you are 'under a pile of homework'...the last thing you need is to be under a pile of diapers too. and don't you want to start teaching before you start a family? get into a school district, get health insurance, etc. just makes sense. seems like you are putting undue pressure on yourself. i think you are 'overcomplicating' your life by putting these additional demands on yourself. give yourself time. :)

btw 2010 is soooo NOT a 'long ways away' at all. it's almost 2009, time flies!

    please help..!

Alright, how many kids you got? If you have some, you just ride it out.

If you don't have any babies, you just still ride it out until the time is better.

edit - I have an 18 year old, and a 14 year old who I recently had to ground, and it was as torturous for me as it was for her. The 18 year old is having a wild ride as a college freshman, and the 14 year old is a high school freshman, but in her mind she is a 35 year old carrie bradshaw if I let her, so hopefully this will help you keep the baby fever under control.

Go to Walmart. There are hordes of screaming children in there. That'll set you straight.

Not to mention, the world has too many people in it as it is. The world simply isn't meant to have so much human population. Before people have children, they should ask themselves, "Hasn't enough wildlife habitat and natural resource been consumed or destroyed already?"

Hilarious! I was going to tell her to go to the grocery store on a Sunday morning. I just went yesterday morning. I seriously heard all of my eggs shrivel in fear with every whine from some kid's mouth. The place was mobbed, there had to be at least 5 different kids in my general vicinity that were whining, crying and otherwise throwing a tantrum. I couldn't get out of there fast enough to get home and take my birth control.

Ride it out Gray....take your bcp and it will pass! :)
believe it or not, we don't "need" anything. that is only the spoiled brat in us trying to fill some temporary solution to an emptyness that does not exist.

in most of these cases, i don't know what's worse--the whining kids or the nasty screaming/indifferent parents. i work in a family type restaurant, and it's disgusting how some of these parents treat their kids. It's no wonder the kids act out--i would, if i was being treated like that, or generally ignored.
My brother and i would NEVER have acted the way these kids act...our parents just wouldn't have stood for it! And if we started to get out of hand, all they had to do was give us THE LOOK....shut us right up.
