Okay I don't mean that in a dirty way either!

But it seems SO easy to keep my apartment clean. Like just pick up after myself, keep it tidy as I go, everything in its place.. BUT nooooooooo.. It's like my brain and my body cannot work together to keep this place clean to save my life. It annoys the crap out of me, and it annoys the crap out of my husband. I want to be a neat person, but I'm honestly such a slob. My apartment is super cute and I ruin it by throwing clothes here and there and just letting it all go to pieces.. What is wrong with me!

What can't you seem to do, that seems like it should be so easy for you.

Giving my cats a bath... I mean, I am twenty times bigger and stronger so why do I always wind up looking like Wolverine just slashed the crap out of me and threw me in a lake?

I seem to not be able to have my house a little messy!!

I'm a total neat freak...it is just my husband me and my chihuahua but everything is dusted....dishes are not in the sink...bathrooms are spotless...clothes are folded.....rugs vacumned, dinner is always ready...I'm so clean that it is pathetic!! I'm also very, very organized..I iron for the whole week on Sunday afternoon..another words all my husband's work clothes are in a perfect row in the closet!! I have been like this for almost half my life...I have ocd also, so I spray lysol constantly around the house and when I'm at my Parent's , I do the same thing. I drive my husband and family CRAZY!! I love to clean.....:p

  • making easy mac. EASY mac. i'm a pretty good cook in general, too, but adding water to noodles and putting them in the microwave, then stirring in a powder seems to be beyond me. i can't explain it. it's depressingly pathetic

as detailed in the other thread.

I wish I liked to clean. I hate it. But, I'm the one supporting the family so I feel like my househusband should be doing the cleaning anyway. He doesn't. He's always outside playing on the excavator and the housework goes undone.
I really screwed that up. I really Schruted it.

If you bring home the bacon the least he could do is clean the house..Wait a minute, I don't think that came out right but you get the idea..

I agree, but it seems to be a touchy subject. So instead of saying anything, I let the resentment (and mess!) build..and build...and build....

ok, so here is MY method. And yeah, I get pretty bipolar on the whole house cleaning thing as well. It is clean, clean, clean or it is a bit disheveled. Without making this a house cleaning tip thread I will tell you how I end up fixing this problem.

I get so pissed off that I do a huge "everything must go" thing and just pick through what is good and dump the rest. It is the most effective way (I find) to deal with the huge problem of sorting through things. And yeah, less is more to me as well. I am getting to the point where I am very overwhelmed when I have too much stuff around me.

I'm pretty clean and actually don't mind cleaning and can KEEP a place clean... BUT I go away for a weekend and my housemates make a mess of it :( it can get quite depressing and disheartening cos I always have to start from square one again... one of them cleans the odd time but the other two do nothing at all  and it's really starting to piss me off. They've no respect for anything I buy to make the house look nicer. They're really nice though and I have to remind myself that I'd rather live with dirty nice people than clean psychos :o

They also have his healing powers. I mean you can choke one of the little bastards half to death and ten minutes later you're on the couch and you look down to find the same beast curled up in your lap purring away...

For the record, I don't really choke my cats... but there have been times when I would have liked to.
