I've had yahoo mail for a very long time, but I have a question for someone who uses it an all of their options.
Can you set it up to sort emails into various boxes? My boss emails me all day long with various assignments and sometimes I tend to miss them because I get a ton of emails. I know outlook has a feature that you can send emails to certain places.
Also, if you know if yahoo has this option, you'd be my hero if you also knew how it effected getting your mail on an iphone.
It's asking a lot. Any help would be fab

aww, hero number one!
when you are in your inbox, there should be a move button right above your first e-mail. give it a click, and it will say new folder. name it whatever you what, and when it is created, go back to your inbox and check the box next to the e-mail you want to move and then click the move button again and select the folder you want it to go to.
hope this is what you were talking about!
hope that helps
Will the emails then be delivered there, to the new folder? Or would I have to sort through them all?
i don't think so. once you created the new folders, then i am pretty sure you have to go to the filter feature that cutback mentioned (i just learned about that from him too).
I tried that, but it gave me an option to add my phone. I already get my mail pushed to my phone, so I didn't want to add it in there and mess up how its working now, but I get emails from here all day long.
(The solution might be to stop getting emails from the board everytime there is a reply to a thread. haha)
and lastly, will I still get all my emails on my phone? Its very important that I can be reaching all the time, so I need to make sure that the filter will still push them all to my phone, regardless of the folder its in.
hmm.... that i don't know. i don't want to tell you the wrong answer.
i don't see why they would not reach your phone. after all it is a new incoming e-mail, it's just hitting a separate inbox so to speak.
currently testing...
stand by my friends
from yahoo:
To create, edit, or delete a filter, click Options in the upper right corner of your page, then under “Management”, click Filters.
as for the mail on your phone, i have no idea....sorry
Okay, I got the filters added, or atleast the ones I want to test. I added my husbands email, and asked for the mails to be to his folder, and it still went to the inbox..
I'm so frustrated and its about 1432513 degrees in my apartment..
AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
I'm keeping at it. I will figure it out! I will!
huh.....not sure why it's not working....keep at it
Thank you so much! It may seem like such a trivial thing, but it will make it SO much easier on me not to miss any more emails!!
You're the best!!!
Oh btw, it works! And it pushes them to my phone.
PJ Fans are so helpful and nice! Thanks again!
so....when you gonna model the new bikini?
i kid, i kid
haha! Well, I bought it because its gonna be wicked hot at Bonnaroo..
I hope I don't end up in pictures on a meet up thread
