My littlest cat jumped out the window and left!

So I know, I'm the crazy cat lady, blah blah...

But this morning when I got up I noticed that the little hole in my screen window that is over my deck was now a huge hole! And my little cat, Noah was MIA.

So I freaked out and ran outside. (my deck is a shared deck that runs along the whole outside of the building and then connects to all three floors and has access to the second floor roof, and then it drops off in a little courtyard and then there is a little fence door that goes to the alley)

So I'm like Noah! Noah! and I hear Meow Meow, and I look down and its Caitlin, one of my other cats! So now I know 2 of them escaped. So I grab Caitlin and put her inside and still no sign of Noah. So I run downstairs and start to yell his name and I hear a little faint meow in the distance and I can't find him anywhere. He's really attached to me so he started to scream more and more when he heard my voice. I finally spotted him hiding under the deck on the second story between the roof and the deck. And when he saw me he shimmied out and ran over to me and jumped into my chest!

I was so relieved to have found him. I was almost in tears thinking about him getting out in the city, he'd surely be hit by a car or something.

So I'll be spending my memorial day weekend patching up that screen! Home depot here I come.

    Silly boy!

This is another reason why cats suck. Would a dog ever do this? NO.

Har har, you guys are SO funny!

They have a better life with me then wasting away in a shelter, or worse, dead (like 2 of mine could have ended up, since they came from a kill shelter)

Oh, it was only a joke? boo! ;)

Noah has been extra sweet since he ran away from home. I think he knows how sad it made me.

Yep Noah and the rest of the clan are very lucky :)

Just had to say something about your "kill shelter" comment since I volunteer at our local shelter. It's a really misunderstood situation. "No kill" shelters only take in animals that they can place and regularly won't take animals due to space limitations or adoptability issues. The rest end up in "kill shelters", which is really far from the truth. Sadly, yes there are quite a few animals that are humanely put down, but the majority are adopted out. The "kill shelters" don't reject any animal as do the no kill ones. The best scenario is where they both work together to find all of the animals good homes. :)
"I'd rather be with an animal." "Those that can be trusted can change their mind." "The in between is mine." "If I don't lose control, explore and not explode, a preternatural other plane with the power to maintain." "Yeh this is living." "Life is what you make it."

Didn't mean it in a bad way- I just relate everything I see to either a PJ lyric or a Simpsons scene or character :)
