fraggle rock!

Exciting news, straight to you from perezhilton.com (hell yeah I read that!):

Kids of the 80's, you'll be stoked to hear this news!

The Weinstein Co. is going to turn Fraggle Rock into a live-action musical movie!

Super fun!

A new generation will get to dance their cares away and worry another day.

According to Variety, just like the series, the film will be populated by a mix of human characters and Fraggle Rock puppets. The pic will take the core characters Gogo, Wembley, Mokey, Boober and Red outside of their home in Fraggle Rock, where they interact with humans, which they think are aliens.

Stay tuned for the release date and more deets!

    yeah the trash heap always gave them advice. i recently watched season one on dvd and it was just okay. i still have my uncle travelling matt toy that i got easter of 85!! hes in my room right now.

    They're gonna have humans?! Oh, it's gonna suck. Interacting with humans is even worse! Humans aren't meant to know the fraggles exist! It's probably gonna be a lame cameo-fest like all the recent muppets films.

    This is a bad bad bad idea! Mark my words!

    and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
    over specific principles, goals, and policies.

    The Muppet Movie was a huge cameo fest in itself...thats how Jim Henson and the Muppets worked.

    That's how the TV show worked. Put it in film and it didn't work at all. The best muppet movies were Treasure Island and Christmas Carol!

    My point is they're messing with the Fraggle Rock formula, and that can't be a good thing. Fraggle Rock has Fraggles, Doozers and Gorgs. Humans always played a minimal part (as far as I can remember its pretty much just the starting credits other than sprocket the dog) and have no place in the film!
