so after numerous interviews, I accepted a fabulous offer last night. I'll be working with a single mother as an assistant to her philantrapist work (which she is highly involved in) and as a tutor/nanny for her 6 year old son after school.

This position is awesome because I will be able to network in charity work which is important to me, but also work with a school aged child and be involved in tutoring.

It pays more then I make now and is 15 hours a week less! And ive been offered salary! Which is something that puts my mind at ease!

So today I gave my notice. I gave 30 days. It felt damn good and I know I an moving on, on my terms for the perfect position. Hooray!!!

thanks!!! I know is crappy for the family I currently work for, but at the end of the day I have to put myself first especially when it comes to a career move. I'm so excited. And now that the job search is over I'll be back on the board more!! See everyone wins hahaha!

she was annoyed for a min. And then she was like well you know I support you 100%. You have to do what's right for you blah blah. She said she was surprised but she's make it work. Plus a months notice will give her plenty of time to replace me.

well in my contract I am supposed to give 30 days but my boss has said recently that if I need to give 2 weeks then she will try to make it work. As much as things have been iffy at times here, I don't want to burn any bridges I'd have anything come back to haunt me, so 30 days it is! I hope it goes by fast. But when you want something to come you usally get that "watched pot never boils" problem! Atleast there is a light at the end of the tunnel!
