Christmas shopping

My Christmas party is THIS Friday and I had to go shopping for a nice dress.
I like to shop especially when everything seems to come easy and when you find the right stuff without searching in a million shops. Shopping this time of year seems to put me in the Christmas spirit but the past couple of days looking for a dress were crazy. I don't the like long ass lines to buy something, the people that just suddenly stop walking in front of you, people who block your way and bump into you and the baby strollers smacking into your ankles. It's cold out so you need a jacket but it's hot as can be in the shops. After several shops I found a nice dress but I need to start my Christmas shopping

I know black Friday (biggest shopping day in US) has passed but I know several people who have said they are all done with their Christmas shopping already but it's not even December yet. I haven't even started or hadn't thought about it yet. I guess I'm more of a late/last minute shopper.

Who is done already? Ya freaks!

Who has started but not done yet?

Who hasn't started yet?

Who will wait to the last minute

I purchased a puzzle for my son and he already found it. :o
I usually wait til semi-last minute.
My brother is easy as I always adopt an animal from Heifer for him. lol It pisses him off. And that I can do online. I am considering doing that for everyone this year and including a handknit scarf.
Oh and a couple of those visa credit cards for the nieces.
Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away

i don't go until 12/23. unless it's online. toys r us on 12/23 is fun though. complete madness. like the grocery store the day before thanksgiving. i go just to run my shopping cart into other people and pinch my kids so they scream and cry the whole time...raising the tension levels of those around me to catastrophic levels. ah, the xmas spirit! :D
I love to turn you on
  • I started early this year. :D
  • I haven't started yet. I have so many things I want to buy for my munchkin that I have to narrow it down a bit before I will actually allow myself to start. If I don't have a definite and final list, I will go crazy. :D

 You started a thread in the AET? Congrats :)

I haven't started yet :o ok well I kinda have... my niece wanted a pretty expensive ipod  so me and my brother have to get it between us. He already got it and I've to give him the money... does that count?

I haven't even bought a card yet... I hope all the secret santa people aren't expecting one from me this year cos I'm afraid it's just not gonna happen. It's just been such a busy year... I kinda have ideas what to get people... just not sure how I'm gonna afford them :D

All my Christmas shopping is done on line. I will not step foot in a store/mall during the holiday season. I have one or two more gifts to get but for the most part I am done.

I have one more small one to buy....and the rest are already wrapped!

Then again, we downplay the commercialism of Christmas and the gift giving isn't really a big deal in terms of quantity or cost.

We usually spend more on the Angel Tree, Mountain of Love, etc. things.
The only people we should try to get even with...
    ...are those who've helped us.

Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.

Hey J.Lo, the munchkin is still so little, don't go overboard! she won't even notice!

Well I'm done :o finished this week ... I like to get it done before December so I don't have to shop in the x-mas madness ... if I can get it done before they start playing the x-mas music all the better :D ... I have loads of people to buy for and some has to be sent overseas so might as well do it all in one go.

I'm only half way through the wrapping though :( ... it takes hours ...
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?
