    I prefer Priceline over Hotwire. I've gotten better deals and have stayed at nicer hotels through Priceline. But, I'm all for saving money and Hotwire does have decent deals from time to time.

    Did you do the thing were you name your own price? I normally book with Priceline but thought I'd try hotwire. I found a website that gives you tips about which hotel it could be.

    You can name your own price with Hotwire now? Or are you talking about Priceline?

    There is a site similar to the one you listed above for Priceline. Check it out because it gives you an educated starting point when it comes to bidding for hotels on Priceline: http://www.biddingfortravel.com. And, like the site you mentioned above, it lists various hotels that people have stayed at with using Priceline. It's a great resource.

    Yeah, I was talking about priceline. But, thanks for that link! :) I'm going to check it out.


    P.S. I LOVE LOVE LOVE booking travel...I spend hours and hours searching for the best deals. I wonder if I could make a career out of it?

    I know what you mean. I'm always online checking out good deals and get excited to book travel arrangements! Definitely check out biddingfortravel. I've successfully bid much lower because of it and I've saved a lot of money.

    Don't forget to use PL for car rentals too. I got a car this past summer for $9/day!

    Well, where I'm going I won't be needing a car, but yeah I know they have excellent deals. My dad actually works for Enterprise so I get discounts through him.

    I've used hotwire for a flight to New York. I got an amazing deal, however, it did take about 2 hours longer - had a stopover somewhere nowhere near New York.

    I just generally lie in wait for the owner of the car to come back and then club them round the head when they get their keys out. I don't have the technical know-how for hotwiring.
