Is this Eddie or Axl?
Of course it's Axl but besides a slight difference in their speaking voice, it is the exact same tone and phrasing and attitude that Eddie used to speak with in his early years and i thought it was uncanny the similarities between the 2 of them. Just think of the "shoe the shoeless" type rants.

I didn't read anyone else's posts because I wanted to see what I thought first without another opinion.........
but I think it is Axl only for one reason; Eddie wouldn't be so disrespectful of other rockers while Axl Rose is like a spoiled punk/brat. I don't know/ I liked him when he was out and all but now that I see him as he has gotten older and less likely to really get anywhere, whereas Eddie has grown and matured while still being an awesome artist. Maybe in their heyday they both would say that kind of thing but I doubt it.

i can see why people were mislead by my original post i left at 4am. My point wasn't that they were anything alike, or what they are like now, or who's more talented than the other...my point was listening to axl do his little spiel just reminded me of how eddie used to sound when he gave his little spiels...any hardcore pearl jam fan can hear the similarities in their tone and phrasing of words and their overall disgruntled me against the world attitude when they were just 20 year olds.
want to be enlightened"
Oh, man so much is misleading in these typed words, huh?
I didn't mean to correct you; I agree with you. But I just think that now, after all of this time and the two different outcomes of these two lead singers, that Axl sounds like an ass, but only because we all know his fate. I thought he was cool when he first came out, the only guy with red hair that I thought was hot, but now I just look at those horrid dreads and say, "damn, just say no to drugs.......and excessively high self esteem that is borderline insane".
I know what you mean, I am also prone to look at the videos from the 1990's and interviews, etc and see that Eddie has grown, but just because I am like the same age as him, I know that I too have made statements that are totally different than I am now.
That's all; sorry if you thought I was disagreeing in a disrespectful way.
