Anyone else notice that when the East Coasters leave work (aka The Pit) it gets deadly quiet around here?!

Seriously! No joke! It's like a blood bath! I rarely venture over there anymore!
doing a helluva job too
i'll bite....why?
And I thought the moving train was bad. Damn
But the west coast has the sunshine and the girls all get so tan.
Nope...AMT ain't got nothin' on the Porch! Many of my 'real life' Pearl Jam friends no longer post for that very reason.
Me neither. I need my seasons. Plus sporting events would just start at random times.

and fires, extreme heat, earthquakes
it's a lovely place to visit i'm sure
I remember one time I was on the east coast during football season...it seemed very weird that people had to wait until 9pm for Monday Night Football to start. We got it here at 6pm, so it was more of a happy hour event.
Reasons #823-825 Why I am desperate to move!
We have extreme heat, but its not as humid as other places...dry heat rules!
I'll take earthquakes over hurricanes and tornados.
hurricane SEASON - there's an actual season for destructive storms....yea that's where i wanna live
True, but being in LA for the Red Sox Yanks series and having the games start at 4:05 just didn't seem natural. If I lived there, I'd still be at work when most games started.
It was even weirder being in Hawaii for the 2006 shows and trying to wake up on Sunday to watch football. 1pm kickoffs were at 8 am Hawaiian time.

Glad I'm not a sports fan. I just want to live somewhere that gets a good selection of shows on a fairly regular basis. Don't have to be IN the city...but something within travel distance would be awesome
well that's year round now....global warming and all
and that doesn't effect the whole area like a hurricane that wipe out a whole city
Well, we can waste time watching games at work, instead of losing sleep to watch them!
The only time we get a late game is when ESPN shows University of Hawaii home games.
This is true. dry heat is better than being in heat and humidity
yea but you watched the game in the morning and had the rest of the day to enjoy paradise....win-win if you ask me
