Seriously, what is the deal with little ones and Elmo? What's the fascination? I think Mia (almost 2) idolizes Elmo the way we idolize PJ. LOL!! She'll run screaming towards the tv if she hears Elmo's World come on! Anyone else going through this?

  • When my daughter was younger, she loved Elmo. I think its the high happy voice and the red fur.

She still likes him, but she tries to play it off like "I'm too old for that".

two of my nieces and my one nephew went through their elmo phase right before their second birthday and then dropped him. i guess they wise up at 2. i find elmo creepy!!!!!
  • Ugggg.
I have six different size Elmo's in the house! My daughter Ava loves Elmo. She calls him Momo! She loves Sesame Street in general. My wife was pissed last week b/c she was in line at Babies R Us and they have these tiny little three inch Elmo's for sale for $6.00!!! WTF? They know the child is gonna want it and that they will pitch a fit to get one. Six bucks is not a lot but for this little shit thing it is.

I can do his voice perfect so she is always wanting me to imitate him. LOL
Get em a Body Bag Yeeeeeaaaaa!

I keep thinking this thread says "Toddlers and Emo." :o

I think Elmo is cute, but then I'm not around kids at all so there is no overkill for me.

Thats only cause he approached you in the park wearing nothing but a trench coat.

My kid has a couple of Elmo toys (hokey-pokey Elmo and TMX Elmo), but since his TV diet is Disney and not Sesame, he was never too fanatacial about the red bastard. The Koala Brothers on the other hand...oy.

At first I thought this was maybe some cool indie band or something.

My son loves elmo too. He has an Elmo coloring book and when he's ready to color he says "color...emmo?...color...emmo?" and on and on until I get him his Elmo coloring book. I agree with the earlier posts, it's his ridiculously cute voice and maybe just the shock of bright red hair. I dunno, but the dude's popular with the little ones, that's for sure.

currently going through round 3 with the elmo phase...little man LOVES elmo and will drop everything to watch it...this sucks because my older two regress into that stage with him.
