I remember him delivering the news of the Israeli deaths at the Munich Olympics- back in the day,.....

one of the originals Wide World Of Sports, Olympics, ABC..

87 Years Old

    The Munich Olympics....come to mind....one of the greats....the Olympics were never the same without him. R.I.P.

    RIP.

    McKay was a regular staple of my childhood. Before ESPN, Wide World of Sports was where you turned. I watched Wide World of Sports every Saturday afternoon through the 70's. The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.

    A great journalist and broadcaster, and the voice for the Olympics for me.

    ...and they did the Triple Crown with Jim hosting....way better than NBC.
