the one here in Ohio closed down after like 4 years if that makes any difference
  • I took my niece and nephew once maybe 10 years ago. I remember that the waiters like sang a song while we were there, which amused the niece and nephew. :D I don't remember much about the food, but I DO remember the crab dip and it was damn good. I had forgotten about that until I read this thread!

There's still one in Dayton. I've been there once. It's ok, nothing special. If I'm going for cheap seafood, I'd choose Red Lobster over Joe's any day. But the atmosphere is Joe's is pretty fun so you may want to give it a shot. And yes, the crab dip is aces!
I'm trying to drink away the part of the day I cannot sleep away...

It had me confused with Joe's Stone Crab in Miami for a minute, I was like hey when did they get one of those in NY?

I think that is the only one in NJ. I have been there a couple times. It is good. The crab dip is legit.

The first one I went to is in Missouri. I had never heard of it before.

Then when I moved to South Brunswick from further north in NJ I spotted it while checking out what was on rte 1 south of Princeton. I couldn't believe it because I had never heard it mentioned before in NJ, so I did not know we had one.

    Anyway, good stuff.

me too...some of the best seafood I've eaten have come at some local places instead of the chains like Red Lobster and Joes Crab Shack

go down to Charleston or Myrtle Beach and I can find you some excellent seafood :D
