I opened my phone bill and I just realized that there is a charge for not having enough long distance calls for the month....its only like $3.50 but damn, just maybe I want to keep my phone bill low....and they just seem to find a way to tax you....

I'm basically being taxed for nothing.....

if it's a cell phone and it's t-mobile, they are really good about working with you to bring the costs down. :)

You should definitely do that. There is too much competition, they will likely take it off.

i deal with telcos often for my job.

call them and tell them you are cancelling service if they dont remove the 3.50 charges. they will probably give you a credit on top of it.

You could also buy one of those cheap calling cards and take long distance off your phone entirely.

Definitely. Don't sit there and take it like a fool. Just switch to a different phone company.

you should also call them and say "WTF?! I'm being charged for NOT calling long distance...what if I don't have anyone long distance to call?"

tell them that you could really use that $3.50 for buying a gallon of gas, since every corporation in America is jumping on the bandwagon of mercilessly raping (with no lube/foreplay) all of their customers.

no I just paid the bill  ....I'm too busy.... the biggest thing I have to do is have a new long distance phone company on hand to swich to when I call, so I haven't done all my homework yet:) but I will

why did you ask, did you see the same charge on your bill or something:)
