I'm looking for something that will make us jump and crawl out of our skins!
Something that will give us nightmares for weeks.
Any suggestions???

Hostel, the first one. And, well, the 2nd one picks up right where the first one left off.

Also, the first Saw I thought was pretty good.
  • "Threads" was a made a while ago (10 15 years?) for TV. It changed the way I looked at life.
I think it was made by the BBC. Sorry, I should have looked that up before posting.
The story revolves around nuclear war and the media. Don't let the kids see this one.

Diabolique (is it Les Diaboliques?), the original. Scared the piss out of me. If you've seen it, you know the scene I mean.

    The Shining maybe. And Alien.

The first time I saw Halloween back in 1991, I was over a friends house. I had to walk home after in the dark. After the end where Michael Myers is shot and the disappears, I was looking over my shoulder the whole way home. No other horror flick instilled the fear like that one. Granted I was 9 but it still scared the shit out of me for a while after.
He who forgets will be destined to remember.

  • i know it's only rated a 15, but the blair witch project sacred the hebbe jebbies outta me.
...Pearl Jam, a group filled with pride, passion, and intricate musicianship. Their music is full of subtle textures, rich color, soul-searching power, imagery, and eerie dissonance.

    The exorcist still scares me
These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.
  • doesn't take much for me

The Ring and Jeepers Creepers comes to mind for me

    American History X

kevinbeetle: "Yes. When her career washes up and her and Gavin move to Galveston, you will meet her at Hot Topic shopping for a Japanese cheerleader outfit.

It might be kinda lame looking back, but "IT" really scared me. Pennywise still scares me.
  • The Grudge.

The original Japanese and remade American version.

I'm not scared easily, hell, I've worked in a mortuary and I LOVE zombie flicks but the Grudge's TERRIFIED me to tears. I won't even have the DVD in my house. I tried to watch the Japanese one after i'd sat through the American one... big mistake, it's scarier.

Strange though, I love The Ring films.
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

I couldn't understand why my dreams are either nightmares or just negative -- I watch too many episodes of CSI (nevada) or CSI in Miami.

sorry I haven't seen many scary movies. I watched Dracula 2000 b/c Gerard Butler was in it!

exorcist would have to be tops - other greats include halloween and the hannah montana concert movie (if you have kids you can relate)
