after fourty-four years of marriage my parents are getting divorced.
This has been a really crappy weekend.

    I'm sorry.
    My parents divorced after 42 years of marriage. That was 6 years ago. They are both much happier now.
    I'm sure your parents will be, too.
    I really screwed that up. I really Schruted it.

    But now I see that what I 'thought' was happiness was further from it then I could of imagined. I won't rule out anything for my future now because I deserve 'true' happiness NOW! As do we ALL!

    **to the OP...you and ur family will suffer thru the pain but in the end I'm sure a better happiness will come from it. Its hard to imagine now, but when u look back later it will be obvious:)

    I'm just trying to be there for them both but not too much so that I'm not stuck in the middle. I hope in the long run they'll both be happier.

    I hated being the middle man! It got to the point where if a piece of mail for my dad ended up in my mom's mailbox, she would give it to me to give to him and I would just put it back in the outgoing. I didn't want to be involved in any way, shape or form.
    My 'husband's' parents got divorced after 35 years and they still do the same shit to him. "can you ask your dad something for me?" "I got a piece of mail for your mom...."
    Seriously, they're how old? They can't even communicate without going through their children?!
    I really screwed that up. I really Schruted it.
