    Infield is general admission, right?

I plan on not remembering that day, unless my horse wins.

Infield is general admission. Last time I was there I think it was something like $40. Drinks are pricey. You get a souvenir glass with the mint julep. You can bring in blankets, tarps, and chairs. They search the hell out of people (or, at least they did in the first two years after 9/11). If you don't already have a hotel room and you need one you're shit outta luck most likely. Oh, and you won't even remember the big race whether your horse wins or not. It's the final race of the day. If you get there around 10 or 11 a.m. that means you'll have multiple hours of power drinking on top of the hangover from last night's festivities. Great time, kind of expensive, but worth going at least once just to hear the roar of 140,000 people when they open the gate's in the final race.

Incorrect. Although most don't give two shits about anything after that race, there is actually a race (maybe 2) after the actual derby race.
