  • Drink alot of grape juice

Eat a lot of chicken soup

wrap your neck up with a scarf or something like a scarf that's comfortable to wear.

If that doesn't help, go see the doctor.

I would stay away from cold medicines including ones that are OTC just because you never know how it affects your passenger.

There was a story on CNN today about how paracetamol, when given to children, can cause asthma. Coincidentally, there was another story about expectant mothers who drink more than 2 cups of coffee per day double the chances of miscarriage.

Also, try to keep your stress levels down. A study of Israeli women who were pregnant during the six day war were more likely to have children who would develop schizophrenia and other mental disorders as adults.

Chicken soup or (if you don't mind the smell) garlic soup, orange juice and tea with lemon and honey. :)

just do what you'd normally do.

its the cold... nothing gets rid of it anyway.

and it wont affect the unborn child, so rest assured :)
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.
  • For me.. for the most part the only thing I could do was suffer through it. I was allowed to take Sudafed when I was pregnant & Tylenol, but that was it. Otherwise you pretty much have to just wait it out.

The cruel irony was that I got more colds when pregnant than I have before OR since!!

  • A bit of extra TLC never goes amiss. If you're really suffering go see your pharmacist (sp?) They might be able to recommend something safe.

when i was pregnant and sick i went to my ob-gyn.

For a bad cough he told me to take delsym (sp?) cough syrup. Non-narcotc and awesome. If you get sick sick ... they do prescribe broad spectrum antibiotics if you need it. Like a Z-Pack.

My ob-gyn let me use regular nasal sprays too as a stuffy nose... for me... is like TORTURE.
