I just don't see Ohio st being on the same level as USC right now...maybe I will after the game, but I'm predicting minimum 21 point loss, and yes I see that I chose a 22 point spread.

I agree
Watchin OSU last 2 years in big games
Could get ugly
they beat returning national champion texas one of those years and an undefeated michigan when michigan was still good. ohio state truly plays pretty well in big games. they just get dismantled EVERY single time they play an sec team. the rest of the big ten just fine against the sec, but osu plays like shit and chokes any time they go against the sec.
that said, i think ohio state will get destroyed tomorrow :( their quarterback is not a leader and has choked every time he's in a big game or any time he doesn't have a 20 point cushion. beanie wells may not play at all. their defense might be able to give usc some fits, as nobody in the pac-10 has a defense like the buckeyes. but osu will not be able to score to save their helmets...
Actually the Ducks defense is awesome this year. When USC plays U of O in a few weeks, that will be the game of the Season . . so far.
that will be a hell of a game regardless. but who has oregon played this season that has a truly impressive offense?
i will be rooting big time for oregon this weekend. i loathe purdue more than any other team/school in the nation and i hope the ducks humiliate them at home.
who would you bet?
The only thing shaky on our team right now is the QB position. Roper is playing good, but only has what? 4 starts ever?
I'm happy that are RB's are 4 deep though. 1 pounder(Blount), 1 shifty back(Crenshaw) and 2 all around backs (Johnson & Alston)
SC and Over. Collect Money.
seems like a huge spread for #1 vs. #3
If rankings were given based on this years play. OSU wouldn't be in the top 25 . . . yet.
ugly it is, my friends pissed...lol...owes me some green, I bet him OSU would get blown out, embarrased, by over 21...they are so over rated, as is the Big Ten every year lately.

I don't think any pac 10 team will score more than 10 pts on them this year, and that's being generous.

It's a little early to say that. I'd like to see Missouri's offense against USC's D, that would be a battle.
who is over-rating the big ten? they've been a punchline for years now. if they're widely ridiculed as such a joke, how can they be overrated?
this was the first time in over 15 years ohio state didn't score a touchdown. it was an embarrassment. i'm betting todd boeckman doesn't last more than halfway through the big ten schedule as a starter. this season could be a wake up call... losses to wisconsin, penn state, and either illinois or iowa. the only real game i care about anymore is purdue. they fucking better win that one.

i hated every second :(
my only consolation is usc looked unstoppable and i think they're going to win it all this season. so at least my beloved buckeyes lost to the best. of course, they looked like shit doing it, but what are you going to do?
Do you think it would've made a difference in the outcome if that OSU running back had played in the game?

not IMO, the USC defense would have kept him in check.

yes. enough for ohio state to win? probably not. but it would not have been as one-sided. ohio state's first 2 possessions got them into the red zone. they settled for a field goal from the 5 and missed another after an absurd number of miscues. wells would have scored. the next drive, they were again in the red. with wells they might have scored, instead of boeckman's pathetic miscues putting them out of field goal range. that's a 14-7 game with osu in the lead. much different from a momentum standpoint. who knows where it could have gone from there.
that said, i don't think they could have contained usc or necessarily continued scoring indefinitely solely based on wells. so they probably still would have lost, but they would not have looked nearly as hapless as they did. that's the big difference between osu and usc... depth. ohio state is very vulnerable beyond their stars. usc is not vulnerable anywhere. the sec has shown the same thing.
