The Packers are idiots (i.e. not eV solo related)

(be advised, this may be one of 400 packer or brett farve related threads in the forum and I don't give a dam)

All this lack of decision making, and in the end, after stating Aaron Rogers is your guy, and after a week of camp, you're going to allow Farve to return to the Packers and compete for the starting QB job. what idiots. Offered him 20 million to stay retired, now letting him play, I thought sports was big business, how can you be so clueless?

let him go, trade him, but don't go back against your word to Rogers and your team. poor leadership, and it's going to bite them in the ass in the future, regardless of the outcome of this years team.

I'm sure Rogers will be happy to stand in Farves shadow for another season.
Can not be arsed with life no more.
  • he's their best shot at winning a Super Bowl, so why not let him play if he's coming back anyway? Would it be better to send him to the Vikings only to see them beat up on the Packers. Yes, it's been drama, but in the end, its a business, and he's their best employee....

    Welcome Back Brett!!!!

they have no shot at winning a super bowl this year, last year they had a plush schedule, this year it's tough. They haven't significantly improved, and Farve is a year older.

It's cool, I'm not a Packer fan, and not knocking them. Live for another fairlytale year, we all wish our teams can have them, but from the outside looking it, be careful what you wish for. If Farve doesn't come through, Rogers is defeated mentally, you'll look back and think it wasn't worth it.

    that's sports though.

Screw all the front office egos. Poor leadership is the front office stating all the CYA in the media -- pointing the finger at Favre for all of the controversy he's put GB in. All that matters is wins and losses.

For all that Favre has done for the franchise, you'd think they'd try to accommodate in a more low-key, behind closed doors manner. If they want to protect Rodgers and hold to their decision to go with him as their starter, they should have traded Favre at his first request. The smart thing to do would is to let them each compete for the starting position.

Can you imagine what Packer fans would be going through if they traded Brett and had Rodgers struggling as the starter early in the season?? Keep them both -- whoever ends up the backup will be generously compensated. Puts them in the best position to win.

If I was Rodgers agent, I would be demanding my client to get traded, hopefully to the bears or vikings. What better way to go back against the Packers than beating them with one of their rivals. Either way, Rodgers has to get out to their.
