    Nothing reminds me of summer more than hearing the Mr. Softee song. I remember back in high school I had to introduce the founder of the company before he made a speech and accepted an alumni award. That was a fun day - all you can eat free ice cream and an early dismissal.

    Mr. Softee, that brings back memories. We used to have water ballon/gun fights when I was a kid living in Brooklyn. One day the Mr. Softee truck came down the street in the middle of one of these fights. It got caught in the crossfire, and then the warring sides united against the Mr. Softee truck. We bombarded the truck inside and out. They retaliated by throwing ice cream, milk, and anything else they had in the truck. The fight lasted about 40 mins. That is one of my fondest childhood (emphasis on hood) memories.

    Anybody remember Bungalow Bar? We used to sing a song everytime the truck came down the street:
