But Pancake Day was last Tuesday :p

Pancake Day for us is Shrove Tuesday :) (day before Ash Wednesday)

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pancake_Day#Pancake_Day

"The reason that pancakes are associated with the day preceding Lent is that the 40 days of Lent form a period of liturgical fasting, during which only the plainest foodstuffs may be eaten. Therefore, rich ingredients such as eggs, milk, and sugar are disposed of immediately prior to the commencement of the fast. Pancakes and doughnuts were therefore an efficient way of using up these perishable goods, besides providing a minor celebratory feast prior to the fast itself"
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

lets point out the flaws of the pancake...

    1) very heavy ,,u feel like shit afterwards

    2) u need 10 lbs of syrup
just when u think u have enough the pancake soaks it up
    (not cool mr. pancake )

3.) the batter...as i found out it takes a shit load of mixing and shaking to get that shit straight
(and they still came out like ass)

4.) what size do u make em ? big? small? in between?
how the hell am i supposed to decide on the size

lol :D that made me laugh really hard for some reason. :D

that's where the chocolate chips come into play!

    ....for the taste at least.
  • nutritional value or not pancakes rule!

should have 'em with maple syrup and icecream.... extra thick.... Mmmmm *drools*

I have this Krusteaz Honey Wheat pancake mix (where you just add water) and they are truly tasty even without anything on them. I always end up eating the first one with nothing on it while I'm waiting for the second one to cook. :D
  • My wife makes them from scratch on Sunday mornings once in awhile

I would rather have eggs and bacon with toast

Don't tell her that though ;)

I can't make omelets very well. I can't flip them over right.
