Ok, let me just start by saying I think Bobby Flay is an amazing chef and I love pretty much any show he's on. He is def. one of the top three Iron Chefs of alltime.

Throwdown with Bobby Flay just pisses me off!!
Watching tonight he went up against this dude from Virginia that was a BBQ rib expert. Ok, knowing that Bobby is a grilling expert himself I figured "Ok, this will be a good one." Nope! Like so often he didn't try to beat them at their game, he tried to fancy it up and beat them with technique and flavor. He made these Asian inspired ribs (which I'm sure were great) but going into the south against a legend...why not try to compete a little bit?!?!
Kinda pisses me off. I know for a fact if he wanted to, he had the know-how and the means to really compete or take the guy down.
Another episode he competed against this Hispanic chick from Texas who made crispy tacos. Rather than making something similar but better he completely changed it up and as a result lost.

I know if he wanted to he could probably beat most people and it wouldn't be much of a show, but it still pisses me off!
LOL!
Am I alone?

I am a little torn about this show.
I love watching him on Iron Chef and his other show but this one bewilders me. I don't think there should be any rules in cooking...if he wants to go in and do asian ribs up against a southern rib recipe, then so be it.
But I understand what you are saying.
As my husband would say, it's Bobby Flay...he is always going to win. :p
He thinks it is Bobby's network.
But if the challenge is who makes the better ribs, then who is to say in what manner they can be prepared?

I don't watch the food network too much but I do enjoy this show.
These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.

Bobby is a great chef and I love the Food Network

Any cooking show is a winner in my book
I just don't trust anything that bleeds for five days and doesn't die.
