White-framed sunglasses...

Is this the new douche-gear or what?!?! Holy crap, I know dumb trends come and go but this one has really taken off (here at least). It's like every other guy here has those ridiculous thick white framed sunglasses. Seriously, why not just wear a teeshirt saying "I'm fuckin' retarded" or better yet just have the teeshirt have a picture of a douche bag.
I was at a stop light today, look over and this car next to me (late 90's or early 00's BMW 3-series) had 4...I repeat 4 guys all wearing them!!!

I mean, who is that person who makes this shit popular? What kind of ballsy person does this? Clearly it's some worthless pop-culture jackass with a lot of money. Worthless pop-culture waste of space: "Hmmm, I think I'm going to wear a clown nose today". BOOM! Everyone wearing clown noses despite how absolutely ridiculous they look.

People are just so damned dumb!
Anyone on the boards here have these ultra-cool sunglasses? I hope for your sake if you do, you don't admit it...

  • I wore a clown nose on halloween once with giant orange framed sunglasses :) To each their own I guess. Personally I don't spend more than 20 bucks on sunglasses from the mall kiosk, by the end of summer I'm guaranteed to break/lose them.

What's worse were the ones with the day-glo colored ear pieces and usually black frames. So far I've just seen white trash still wearing those, but you wait, Paris will wear them and it'll be all the rage. Is it just me or is she one of the first to adopt any new/old shitty trend? I remember she was sporting the trucker hats at the beginning of the trend too.

    Edit: Like these.

I think sunglasses on a guy are fucking silly. if you are a dude, you dont need sunglasses. thats a fact. pretty boys wear sunglasses. go ahead, give me shit, but I am sure someone agrees with that.

it seems sunglasses are evolving into into helmets for the ladies. they start just above the top lip now and run into the hairline. WTF is that?

hmmm...i would saw that in some instances, they are necessary. for example, my dad is a fisherman and wears the polarized lenses while out on the water so he can see better with the reflection and all...and my brother is a cyclist and wears them riding so he doesn't have to squint in the sun and ride into a mailbox or something...

but when guys wear them as a fashion statement, it can get a little metro.

point taken. 99.9% of the time they are silly on guys.

I had the exact same ones! Bad ass, weren't they? :D

I blame Paris, Nicole, Lindsay, etc. for the resurgence. Ever notice how the giant white frames make Paris look like more of a pinhead than she already is?
