Obama's most recent appointment...

Barack Obama's most recent appointment has drawn cries of outrage from the left.

His selection of Jesus Christ as Secretary of State was met with suicidal despair from internet bloggers and posters that have never held a real job in their lives.

"Sure, Jesus is a nice guy in private," said one such unemployed 20-something desperately seeking relevance in society. "But I'm pretty sure he was Jewish and secretly harbors a desire to round up poor Islamic children and execute them and use their bone marrow to print money for rich executives that support Israel."

He went on: "I'm all for his message of peace and love, but let's face it, we need someone who is going to seriously kick the living shit out of anyone that advocates anything other than compliant submission to all aggressors."

Criticism has also been levelled at Jesus for being too weak. His controversial speech wherein he advised turning the other cheek has created fears that he will not burn capitalists at the stake for the atrocities they commit against their fellow humans.

This is only the latest in the rounds of criticism directed at Barack Obama. Prior to this announcement, he had taken plenty of heat or appointing Ghandi as Secretary of the Interior. Left wing partisans felt Ghandi was too out of touch with the struggles of the working class, and pointed to the fact that he worse a pair of glasses that many near-sighted poor in the world could never afford.

  • Nah, that's not 'condescendibg, arrogant and self righteous' at all ;)

You better hope MattyJoe doesn't see this 'hackneyed banter'!
'and I can't imagine why you wouldn't welcome any change, my brother'

'How a culture can forget its plan of yesterday
and you swear it's not a trend
    it doesn't matter anyway
there's no need to talk as friends
    nothing news everyday
all the kids will eat it up
    if it's packaged properly'
  • I'm really feeling the unified scene angle.
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

Why so? Who's MattyJoe and what has he got against hackneyed banter? This place could do with a bit more of it... people round here take everything so catastrophically seriously. Little parody/levity never hurt anyone ;)
