Apparently so....if by ignorance you mean that I don't trash someone on the basis of her looks, accent, children, clothes, etc., etc., etc.
When I asked really, I was asking you if you would really do that knowing how grossly under qualified she really is to handle a country in 2 deadly wars, an economy in the brink of failure, and a climate and energy crisis.

Yeah, she annoys the piss out of me too - but purely based on the dribble that has unintelligently poured out of her mouth.

Yeah - but based on my observation, that happens a fraction of the time that Palin's personal attributes are being trashed.
I love how you try to draw an even line between 8th grade cattiness (stupid, I agree) and referring to someone as a niger and a terrorist.

    Wow dude. Wow.

There's plenty of vids showing people being racist, insulting, and just plain hateful towards Obama at the GOP rallies themselves. Hell, Obama tells people to stop booing! Palin and Mccain won't even acknowledge that some really filthy shit is being said and more specifically Mccain shoots the blame back on Obama. Maybe you see more insults being hurled at Palin here specifically because it's a left leaning board. And unbelievably to some people around here, left wingers are human and get angry and can hate just like everyone else.

    Oh really?

Wasn't it about two weeks ago where McCain told the crowd that Obama was a good guy?

I'm not a McCain backer but you guys make me feel the need to stick up for him.

Wasn't that from a direct question that he had to respond to and could not just pretend it never happened or that he didn't hear it?
  • Wasn't that from a direct question that he had to respond to and could not just pretend it never happened or that he didn't hear it?

it wasn't really a question, more of a statement some lady was making and mccain took the mic from her and said he was a nice guy. actually, what he said was obama isn't an arab, he's a nice guy. a lot of people took that as mccain feeling arabs aren't nice people, but personally, i don't think that's exactly what he meant. i think he meant it as two separate issues. 1-he's not an arab. 2-he's a nice guy. just bad timing for a run-on sentence.

you know, what i'd like to see at these rallies when people are being completely hateful isn't the candidates saying "now now, stop that". i'd rather see the people that are standing next to these dolts in the crowd turning to the offender and telling him or her to shut the fuck up.

I thought it was something like that. I also thought the "he's not an arab" wasn't has menacing as it said, although it was a pretty shitty choice of words but it happens.

The point is McCain corrected who he was speaking with and stuck up for Obama.

I didn't draw that line, the other poster did.

Furthermore, I didn't make a comparison other than one based upon frequency.

I see it more in the mainstream media as well. Apparently, it's open season on anything and everything regarding her....including a lot of stuff that has nothing to do with her qualifications.

And how anyone can say she's less qualified than Obama is beyond me.

haha. Keep posting in this "ridiculous" thread.

Seriously, you don't think this thread is ridiculous?

And yes, I will keep on posting here but please people: STAY ON TOPIC!

Please talk about the qualities of her voice and what annoys you most. Is it pitch or tone? I heard some people don't like the accent, it's a bit off topic but close enough.

There's a huge difference between discussing someone's gross incompetence and just attacking someone because of voice, sex, skin colour etc.

This thread is bullshit and everyone in this thread knows it. Everyone who says something about it gets trashed. I don't support Obama and I definitely don't support McCain or Palin.

Anyway, I hope Obama's promised change contains a little more humanity than this... but I don't know if it's possible with supporters like these. This is a cheap shot at Palin, you'd never condone it if it was about Obama. And didn't I just read that Obama himself would not condone this either?

Yes, I'm out of weed :D

Anyway, I can't participate in this thread unless you specify why you think her voice is annoying. It's hard to debate the quality of someone's voice when nobody explains their reasons for thinking so. If no one does, we can't really have a debate.
