    First, 250,000.

Second, it hasn't changed (unless Joe Biden wasn't saying something moronic when he said 150,000). Taxes will not be raised under the dollar amount of 250,000. Under 200,000 dollars, tax cut.

    In other words,

    > 200,000 = tax cut
201,000 to 249,000 = taxes stay the same
    < 250,000 = tax increase

That's how it's been as long as I can remember.

At $200,000, a family's tax bill would stay the same under both candidates. But at the top of the ladder, $250,000 -- things change
(digster presented a pretty easy to understand explanation, and it hasn't changed at all)

But if you read it on the internet it's gotta be true right  The internet takes away some peoples ability to think for themselves.

That's quite a leap you're making. I was a little confused when he said $200,000 in that 30 minute television ad. I have heard him say "quarter of a million dollars" since then. Then I thought, well $200,000 dollars that's still a lot of money, still considered wealthy. My household makes nowhere near that. Most families don't. Probably less than 10% of the population. So slow down with the slippery slope theory because you're the only one sliding down it.

To tell the truth, Obama probably should stick with one number. Saying "I will not raise taxes for those making under 250,000" and also saying "I will lower taxes for those making less than 200,000", while both are true adds unnecessary confusion.
