If i was a millionaire i would not be on this board. that is for sure. but good for those people.

I live in North Dakota but am too young to have capitalized on owning the correct land in the correct area. So, rest assured, I am just as envious as you.

Edit: Should also mention that I don't have nearly the amount of money it would cost to purchase land anyways.

I know doesnt that stink. Most properties here in northern WI already have grandfathered clauses in property contracts with mineral rights and the like attached to it... so if you buy property here and you find gold the person/company whom has the rights to it can claim it... aint that crappy?

my boss's friend lives in North Dakota and my boss just went out there for 2 weeks... his buddy has been investing into it for years and has tried to tell my boss to put up some money... we have been talking about this for the lest few months... i thought it was funny when i ran accross an article about it a few eeeks ago and showed my boss

needless to say, he may be investing some $ now

why not?
you think one million dollars is enough to retire? if you are young and have to pay for your own health insurance, etc......not really. believe me, i would love to have a lump sum million dollars and it would have a huge impact on my life and those in my life in a positive way, but i don't think i'd stop working, thus, i'd still be here on the board.
