Could make it interesting...It took a third party candidate to get Bill Clinton his first presidency...

    Nah, Hillary's hoping McCain gets this one, so she can run in 2012.

    That's an interesting theory, actually. But I don't know how much support she'd have from her own party if she ends up costing Obama the election. Plus even if he lost, don't think he wouldn't be back in 2012 and if she can't beat him now, which she can't, no way will she be able to then.

    Actually should obama lose the general election it's highly unlikely he'd get the nomination again. You basically only get one shot in the presidential election, although there have been a few exceptions, nixon comes to mind. Hillary or obama as a 3rd party candidate would most likely split the democratic vote and hand the election to mccain. Although it would be interesting to see either one go 3rd party mainly because they could be one of the strongest 3rd party candidates ever. Potentially stronger then perot in 92, and could carry some states like wallace in 68 (which helped tip the election in favor of nixon). I don't see that happening though.
